Vaccine will be given in these countries including Africa
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said: “This first pre-qualification of a vaccine against m-pox is a crucial step in our fight against the disease in Africa, both against current outbreaks and in the future.” The head of the UN health agency called for an urgent scale-up of procurement, donations and rollout, alongside other response measures, to ensure vaccines are delivered where they are needed most.

2 doses of the vaccine will be given to people of this age
Under the WHO authorization, the vaccine can be given to people aged 18 years or older in a two-dose regimen. The approval states that although the vaccine is not currently licensed for people under 18 years of age, it can be used in infants, children and adolescents in outbreak areas where the benefits of vaccination outweigh the potential risks.
